To switch business energy smoothly, find your contract end date on your latest bill or by asking your supplier, then act within your switching window — typically up to **6 months** before it ends. Missing that window can roll you onto expensive out-of-contract rates, so the key is to note the date and compare early.

Business energy contracts work differently from domestic ones.
